As a publicity stunt for a new sustainable supermarket chain this client desired a design for the first store. The fundamental idea of this building is a circular experience of nutrition. The market is a place to grow, harvest, store and nurture food within the urban fabric. To express and practice the full sustainable cycle of the industry waste products are cultivated as a fertilizer for the crops. The first circular store for food in the world contains greenhouses, a local biological grocery store, a restaurant and a rooftop garden.
